That said, fans that want to start with the absolute best Cultural leader and civ in Civ 6 should turn their attention to Kristina of Sweden.

Indeed, Sweden is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to producing Culture and Tourism in Civilization 6, and that is in no small parts thanks to Kristina’s amazing leader bonus. This bonus automatically themes all Great Works that are slotted into the relevant buildings and Wonders, leading to big bonuses to the Tourism generated by these constructions. This alone puts Sweden ahead of most of the other Cultural civs in Civilization 6, but it has even more to offer.
Specifically, Sweden’s unique infrastructure, the Open-Air Museum, is very likely the best tile improvement in the game for Cultural Victories. This powerful improvement produces Culture and Tourism based on the number of cities that Sweden has established on different types of terrain, and players that plan ahead will see big returns as soon as they have discovered the Nationalism Civic and unlocked the Open-Air Museum.
Of course, Sweden’s aptitude in Culture comes with some sacrifices, and, for example, they are unlikely to win the award for best Domination civ in Civilization 6. However, Kristina and Sweden can obtain Cultural Victories extremely quickly, and players that are exploring this win condition for the first time, or simply want to bury their opponents, should certainly give this leader and civ some consideration.
