Many fans of the studio have been looking forward to seeing Psychonauts 2 gameplay at Xbox’s 20/20 event in July and Double Fine may supply Xbox with some quality games even if the titles do not have the highest-profile. The games that are currently set to become available for the Xbox are all point and click adventures from the 90s and many players will look forward to revisiting the remasters.

The titles that are scheduled for to be released this year on the Xbox are Full Throttle Remastered, Grim Fandango Remastered, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. All of these titles were released to critical acclaim and it will be interesting to see if these titles join the variety of games available on the Xbox Game Pass. At the moment, all that has been revealed from a discussion with the head of Double Fine, Tim Schafer, is that the games will arrive at some point this year. Many players will be keen to find out more information about when the titles will arrive on Xbox and at what price point. If the titles are not freely available, many players would likely be happy to purchase the games.

Many players will be excited to get their hands on these remastered titles which combined with more recent games have managed to gain Double Fine a BAFTA award amongst other accolades. With the companies track record of delivering acclaimed games, many will wonder what this partnership will lead to in the future and if the company can continue to deliver quality titles like it has for the last twenty years.

Double Fine is a talented developer and this is demonstrated by the quality of the remastered titles that are coming to Xbox. For fans of point-and-click games, this partnership will build excitement and for Xbox fans who are unfamiliar, they will be able to try seminal titles in the genre through these titles.
