When Tucker Hipps died in September, South Carolina students honored his life by wearing orange clothing, holding a vigil at the heart of their campus and posting touching messages on social media with hashtag #Orange4Tucker. It comes as no surprise that Clemson is doing the same following South Carolina on Thursday when a murder-suicide ended in two deaths.

To show their support, Clemson students flocked to social media with hashtags #TwoSchoolsOneState and #2Schools1State. They also planned to wear garnet and black, the official colors of South Carolina, on Friday in solidarity.
It’s good to see rivals support each other during tough times.
